SLINGSBY PLACE
Office Building
The office spaces in this project occupy the upper floors of an existing old building with a beautiful fabric but with quite dark spaces and non-functional layouts; very difficult access point and scarce visibility.
The contrast between brick walls and glazed facades emphasizes the different roles of the volumes. It also allows natural light to reach areas where people gravitate.
At night the glazed volumes turn into lanterns to emphasize the corporate presence. This effect also helps making the areas around safer when less people populate the courtyard.
